How we are solving the problems?
With over 5 years of experience in challenging period poverty and promoting informed choice for all, Anahat has noticed a significant need for correct education, breaking period-related taboos, and community engagement to normalize conversations around menstruation so that every individual can live a stigma-free life and make informed choices. R For Red was born in 2023 to celebrate World Menstrual Hygiene Day (28th May) by combining sports, entertainment, and education for citizens of Kolkata coming from all walks of life. Through sports, we connect communities, start conversations, and pave the way toward a stigma-free world.

What is the plan for this year?
With a mission to reach 5 million people living in Kolkata and beyond, this year we bring to you a series a fun & knowledge building activity including marathon, cyclathon, zumba and more. This is an immersive experience for anyone who is inclined to this topic and wants to be a part of the cause. On the morning on 26th May (5:30 am onwards), we invite you to Salt Lake FE Park where you can engage in multiple activities along with showing your solidarity to this cause. Let's break the silence, start open conversations and make menstrual health a taboo-free topic for all. Together, we can make a difference!
